Guy asked me once if I traded or sold my old gun when I bouth a new one and my answer was" You mean you are not supposed to keep them?"KAZ wrote:You all make me feel better about myselfI tell myself that I will see which of my shooters I like best and sell off the rest. You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

The real KAZ, looks like a sweetheart. Bear and I walk most every day but not as far as we used to, Bear and I are getting closer in age as his dog years are beginning to catch my people years. He used to chase a rabbit now and then at my club where we take a walk through the woods in the morning, but only until he loses sight on it. Chasing is not a Golden Retriever thing you know? He has caught a few woodchucks, ground moles and one 10# coon, none of which lasted long. He love is at the range no matter if rifle, pistol or shotgun, has has had several 1,000 shotgun shells shot near heim when we used to shoot a lot of sporting clays.

Well KAZ will be eight this December and he is junior to me. He also loves gunfire. When he was young we had a target set up in front of a tank (pond) dam and a bench 100 yds from it. He would lay there and watch me shoot, and then we would walk down to check the target me throwing his ball all the way up and back. He would get a nice drink or a swim in nice weather and we would work our way back. They are great companions for certain. Regards
The winner is the one with the most toys. Haven't thought about getting rid of any when I add one. And I want to shoot the ones I have. Fun dilemma because it isn't practical to take the all to the range.bearandoldman wrote:Guy asked me once if I traded or sold my old gun when I bouth a new one and my answer was" You mean you are not supposed to keep them?"KAZ wrote:You all make me feel better about myselfI tell myself that I will see which of my shooters I like best and sell off the rest. Thanks greener,KAZ is a really nice guy. We did a rescue of a Brother Sister pair of cats about six years ago and the Sister disappeared and the Male teamed up with KAZ. They are great pals, and work the fence line, sleep together.
Yes, bearandoldman they would have a blast together. Both being Shooters, and unafraid of gunfire.
I think that as long as we get excited about a new firearm, and begin the research/chase to acquire. Then the ritual of seeing just how good we can make it shoot it is probably the least expensive therapy we can get
At least that's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Regards

I am as you can see an old man, and I shoot to impress no one other than myself. If I am happy and some other guy does not like my shooting, too bad, it made me happy and that was the intention. I am not a dedicated Bullseye shooter so it does not take a lot to make me happy. I shoot a lot of action type pistol with the guns for self defense practice, if most of the rounds at 25 feet shot in double taps can be covered by your hand that is good enough to save your butt.

Have a vision problem due to some old retina problems and it somewhat limits my clay target shooting which is basically my most fun shooting, just to see a target turn into a puff of black when you really center it sure makes it FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN. Think I will head to the range shortly and play with one of the 10/22 carbines and it's brother the DSP.KAZ wrote:We have a lot more in common than just the love of Dogs. Some of us, sniff, can't go out in the middle of the day and shoot. Waaaah! I deal with the government and by the end of the week could use some recoil therapy.bearandoldman wrote:Have a vision problem due to some old retina problems and it somewhat limits my clay target shooting which is basically my most fun shooting, just to see a target turn into a puff of black when you really center it sure makes it FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN.
