ammo under Obama

Are you stock piling 22 ammo? If the gun grabbers add a 5 cent a round tax per bullet, that would be a 25 dollar increase on a brick of 500 LR Rounds.

American rifleman for one, also various news groups, discussions with other shooters and club members. Supposedly the liberals are going after ammo instead of the guns. The legislation they are ready to introduce will tax at 5 cents per round. Also have a bill for serial numbering ammo and confiscation of ammo not serial numbered by 2011. I was curious about how the folks here on GunTalk felt about it.

I doubt it'll go through especially to all rounds. They'll probably go after assault rifle rounds first since that's the basis of the bans they're drafting.

And if they do then I'll figure out how to reload .22.

I remember such a tax was proposed by some politician, but I doubt if this would ever come to pass. Obama is smart, and knows such a move would make him many enemies. Also, I think he has too many huge problems on his plate to worry about our guns. I'll bet they're about number 200 on his priority list.

I wonder how a nickel a bullet would cause a dr-ug dealer any pain. The whole idea of a nickel a bullet is absolutely ridiculous as far as curbing the criminal element. It would punish the target shooter most of all, the hunter second and the criminals the least.

I can only recall one crime that assault weapons were used, the daytime robbery of a bank in California. The bullet proof vest caused the police officers a lot of trouble.

Brady, RFK, and Reagan were all shot with a hand gun, and JFK was shot with a bolt.

Banning assault weapons won't change history or facts.
