They do offer quantity discounts and their shipping and handling was $3.00.
The stamp on the envelope was for $2.50+ so I would think handling was more than reasonable...
From time of order to time of delivery was 3 days...
To my way of thinking. . . . the Manufacture offers the best buy!!!

Just checkef their website and at present the shipping charges for 1 is $7.50 and for 2 $12.50, did not go beyond that.
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Are you talking about McFadden Machine Company, Inc ???
The web site I went to didn't have any ordering information, just a contact name and phone number. I ordered direct.

What is the old saying " let the buyer beware"?
Kindof thought so myself but did not want to be the bearer of bad news.
Gee, guys, you hurt my feelings and destroyed my credibility; nothing left for me to do but go eat worms!

PS: However, the MidWay final price is not as good as it sounds:
In Stock Item Total: $2.69
Postage, Handling & Insurance: $2.82
Special Handling: $3.00
Sales Tax: $0.00
Adjustments: - $0.00
NRA "Round-Up" Contribution: $0.49

In Stock Grand Total: $9.00
But then again, why not save $2.94; afterall, it is almost enough to buy a gallon of gasoline.

Obviuously a prudent person wouldn't order such a small item [and then only one] from Midway. I just put it on my wish list until I had an order that meets the $25 "minimum" and then placed the order. If you do much shooting or reloading you'll eventually order from Midway. Beware of back ordered or Special order items from Midway. That's where they kill you on double shipping charges.
FYI, Brownell's also sells the UCL.

Presently Midway isn't handling the UCL. I mentioned them because many of us do sizable quanities with them and I've made an inquire regarding prospective availability.

I saw what b&tom saw on shipping. But I think we may be talkin' apples & oranges. The ULC vs the Thumsaver/Adco

bear&theoldman! Love to see a pic of that gem. I have an early 66. If you'd like, I can provide some info on the suttle and more distinct differences between todays model and those beauties from yesteryear!
BTW, Congratulations!

Ultimate clip loader

Post by DEC734 » Sat Mar 15, 2008 10:41 pm

I ordered an Ultimate Clip Loader on Tuesday 3/11/08. It arrived yesterday (3/14/08). I had to unload three magazines so I could try it out as soon as I got the package open.
It’s as good as they claim! Loaded three Mark III mags in about 3-4 seconds each. The wife tried it, same results! She has already taken over the Mark III 22/45 I bought in January (thumb blister and all) now I may have to buy another Ultimate Clip Loader.
It will be interesting to see how long it will last, but as there are really no moving parts I can’t see why it won’t last for years.

Welcome!
Sounds like you gained a UCL and lost a MKIII! :)
Yep, a great bang for the buck!

Yes, I plan to go out tomorrow and start pricing a Mark III hunter. I guess I will have to go to several gun stores. OH, DARN!

UCL with MKI magazines ?

Post by tom234 » Thu Oct 02, 2008 2:16 pm

Does the UCL work with MKI magazines ? Are modifications necessary ? I've heard the manufacturer only lists applicability to MKII & III magazines.

I don't think so because the MKI mags have the follower button of the opposite side than the MKII & III mags.

Although there wouldn't be an adjustment screw for fine tuning, couldn't one just move the MKI magazine up and down to hit the spot were the ammo glides into the magazine ?

Not all Mark Is, the ones manufactured after 1971 have the magazine button on the left side just like the Mark IIs.
