Hello everyone,
Just purchased my Mark III competition target on Saturday and I plan on doing some Bullseye shooting with it. I'd have to say that mine has a pretty good trigger right out of the box. Still needs to be measured but a good estimate is 3-3.5lbs. I did order a VQ sear and hopefully that will drop it another pound or so.

For you bullseye shooters I was wondering how I did on my very first day of shooting. Did some very minimal sighting-in on the stock sights (I'd say about 20-30 shots total). Then my mentor (He's a master level shooter with both his 22 and his 45) through me into the fire and had me shoot the timed fire and the rapid fire (indoor 50ft.) First was timed (note....I have never owned or shot a real gun before.....had BB guns as a kid....I'm now 40) I shot a 70 with four in the black and one outside the scoring rings but still on the paper. Rapid Fire - I shot a 76 with all shots scoring and three in the black (most were in the 7 ring). I was shooting CCI Blazers.

Welcome to the forum! Getting started in bullseye shooting is a great way to start out a shooting hobby. Sounds like you're doing pretty well for someone who's starting out. Your mentor has likely already shared that praise with you. Once you get comfortable with your gun you'll have no trouble increasing those scores. I know many who had to start at a much lower level. Concentrate on your fundamentals and you keep improving at a good rate.
Many of the factory triggers are decently cut, 3-3.5 pound is good with a crisp let-off.

That looks exactly like mine! (minus the scope). Midway had the SP-1 on sale for $62.00. That was the best I could find......so it's on its way.....I got the silver one and will have to post a pick after it gets installed.
Yeah he said I was a natural (and he's not one for complements). He actually seemed a little excited after I shot the rapid fire. Told me that was more typical of someone who had been training for several weeks.......so we will see.....might have been beginners luckBullseye wrote:Welcome to the forum!
