I have been looking for a second barrel for my S&W model 41. I found one barrel that looks to be nice, but it has what i believe to be an odd twist rate, it is an 1:8. My question is how will this work for standard velocity 22lr ammo?
Thanks
Martin

1:8 is a very fast twist rate normally found in rifle barrels. This rate is made for heavier .224 cal high power rifle bullets. Typical 40 grain bullets found in 22 LR pistol barrels are normally in the 1:14 to 1:16" range.
