That's how you learn new things, by asking questions. We've all been novices at one time so it is easy to help somebody else get their feet down on a new hobby/sport.

Thought I would just say that I am basicly a lurker as the answer to most problems are answered in other posts. This is the best site I have been on as everyone seems to really just want to help with no big me little you thing going on . what a great site.

But thats just me

Darn! I was just at Cabella's yesterday and I forgot to look for a nylon brush! I guess I'll just order one as my local Wal-Mart only stocks brass.

I found the pics of me taking the Ruger apart. I literally set up in front of the computer so I could follow Bullseye's directions. 8)

You're not alone in using the computer as a maintenance aid in disassembly of the Ruger 22 Auto. I have had a huge amount of feedback from folks who've used that exact same technique. I'm just pleased that all the time I spent putting those pages together is helping others with the maintenance of their pistols.

Bullseye,
I gave someone the URL to this site the last time I was at a plate shoot. 8)

I give the URL out to people who I encounter having problems with their Rugers. The irony is I've even had a few people give it to me when they see me out shooting my Rugers.

LOL! Talk about coming around full circle!

I just sent the URL to a good buddy of mine who I shoot and ATV with. Hopefully, he'll post some pics of his new MKII. I haven't see it yet, but it sounds amazing. 8)

I've pass the URL around frequently. It's the best guide I've seen for Ruger MK's. The only time I shouldn't have passed it along was when I gave it to my son. He was amazed that his klutzy old man was so knowledgeable. When I gave him the link, he figured out how I suddenly got smart.

I had my laptop on my workbench during my first disassembly too :)

I've since saved off each page of instructions, printed them and stuck 'em in a binder (keeps the grease & grime off my keyboard)!

Oooh! Printing out the pages. That's not a bad idea at all. :D I think I have an extra binder laying around too.....
