I believe Waltz charges $139 plus shipping and he sells a lot of them. They are a proven die that drastically improves cheap bullets, and improves quality target .22. I have used one to clean up the accuracy of Walmart bulk pack in the past and still use it for target ammo in rifles.

I'm with Bear et al on this one.
Back in the early 70s I started reloading using a manual Lee Loader - ya know the kind where you use a hammer? I had a primer go off while beating a .44 Mag case down onto it, and Geez-Oh-Man that hurt for hours!
Got a Lyman press the next day.

Some thoughts that crossed my mind (as senile as it may be):
1) The Paco may be a safe method? But it would scare me to perform this task over and over.
2) The Waltz method seems safer, but still you are altering a live round.
3) I do wonder why 22lr manf's don't manf a wad cutter 22lr ? I bet they would sell like hot cakes.
4) I'm betting a 22lr that detonates in a closed chamber can really cause some damage. The Waltz method, although, seems to have been proven.

Due to the fact that most .22 firearms are fed by either a tubular or an angle straight mag, it would cause a lot of feeding problems, CCI subs or Wolf MT seem to work as good as anything and better than most.

Actually, as the saying goes, "You couldn't have driven a toothpick up my a** with a sledge hammer."
Pucker factor 99. :D
