I've had a little bit of luck at our range with this...
dis-assemble your MKx, and set the Barrel/Bolt aside.
then, following the instructions, perform the RE-assembly,
but with-OUT the Barrel/Bolt... this lets you look at the
hammer-strut-springCap as you position the pistol to have
the hammer&strut in the proper position for assembly...
Once I got it thru my thick-head why I was asked to rotate
and hold the pistol at various angles... then I was able to
use my Xray-vision to know how that Hammer&Strut needed
to be positioned...
another trick (from someone here, I think) is to use a (?? size)
Nylon-cable-tie to grab and pull the Spring-latch-lever.
The cable-tie "head" slips over the tip of the latch
and the tie... can be held while pulling...
no scratches or broken finger-nails.
When opened, I blast the grip-innerds with the AirCompressor
the apply some fresh GunOil to the various friction-spots...
it comes clean with little effort... as the grunge is then somehow
magically attracted by my jeans/shirt away from the pistol
