Welcome to Guntalk-Online.

Sorry can help you with that, but 'm pretty sure one will be by soon that can. There is a pretty broad based of knowledge here, and they will be glad to help you.

I too would like to welcome you to the forum. I have not experienced one of these pistols and therefore cannot offer any useful advice.

I've heard the triggers are tricky to adjust on the walther, and some folks do not like the look of it, but all the range reports I've heard said it shot well. I've handled a few and the triggers seemed a bit heavy bt the gun was balanced nicely and the sights were good. I talked to a fellow shooting on e a while back and he liked it but it was still fairly new to him so the jury was still out on weather he would like it long term.

If you buy one, I'd be happy to help you evaluate it.

I've only handled then at gun shows. They felt ok. Based on my experience as a P22 owner, I'd opt for the Ruger.

i thought the sp22 series is a complete different
animal than the p22.

I think it is. I hope they didn't decide to share internals with the P22. I haven't noticed complaints about the SP22 like they have with the P22 on Rimfire Central. My unscientific poll shows about 70% of the Walther owners love them.

the big complaint I've heard is the looks most comments I hear is "fugly" but thats mostly from the die hard "the only 22 pistol is my 41" crowd.. personally I like the look and they feel nice in the hand...

M41's 10% off at my favorite gun and tackle shop yesterday bringing them down to a grand. Still a bit pricey.
