Knock on wood!

Post by lucam » Sat Apr 10, 2010 11:00 pm

As of today, my modified Ruger MKIII has gone through 6 boxes of Federal bulk (3,300) rounds without a single problem.

Nothing.

Not a fail to fire, fail to eject, bolt has held open after every spent magazine, no stovepipes.

Absolutely perfect performance & reliability for over 3000 rounds.

That is astounding.

*I clean it often*

Lucky, bet on the lottery. Usually the ammo is what fails.

Your pistol is obviously tuned just right. Once they start performing they'll run a long way between cleanings without failures.

You must have a very good lot of ammo to do that. I seam to get anywhere from 1-3 FTFire in every box of the bulk. Now I have not have any feeding/gun related problems in my MKIII since I did all of the work to mine, ~2.5k rounds.

Mine does well with every ammo I've tried, which is good because I can feed it what my Bobcats don't like. I get a few FTFs, but strictly ammo that a hardware store hammer wouldn't set off.

My Single Six and 10/22 eat most anything, too. Only problem there has been some Winchester "333" that is out of round and won't chamber in the Single Six.
