Blazer .22
Nobody local has had any bulk .22 for a while, except Dick's got in several cases of Blazer 525 round bulk packs. I bought two bricks to add to my stash, hoping it's good.
By specs and appearance, it seems to be Mini-Mags without the copper wash. If so, $21 a brick was fine with me.
Anybody here like Blazer? Hate it? I'm especially curious how it will do in my Bobcats. They like bulk Federal HP and Champion, so maybe Blazer will be good.

Don't really ammo test in handguns as most of the ammo and handgunsawill outshoot this shooter, hands down. Now the stuff does shoot well im a couple of my Rugrt 10/22's. My DSP and T both shoot it well. Here are a couple of groups from my DSP, gun is pretty much stock, 10 shots at 25 yards from a rest. Gun was zeroed with the #22CRN and shoots slightly higher with the Blazer as it iis a little faster.

I appreciate it, gentlemen. Now I can look forward to the next range trip a little more positively. I felt pretty solid that CCI would have decent bulk ammo, but hearing good experience from others helps, on any product.
Flyfishtom said, "I'm hoping the prices start down pretty soon". I doubt that will happen, especially with even Wally World going up. The .22 HP Federal 550 round brick just went from $15.47 to $18.97. That's a big jump. The last increase was two bucks, and the one before was only one buck. The clerk said most of the 9 and 40 went up $5 a box.
Still glad I stuck with only .22 when I came back to shooting........

I have stopped using it since my last post on this topic. It does well in my Rugers, but not the Bobcats. I've had a few Blazer rounds "dome up" on the bottom when fired, and that sticks them in the chamber on Bobcats, not having an extractor. I guess the brass is a bit thinner to keep costs down.

I use a lot of the CCI Blazer in all of my guns, very reliable, always go bang, rarely get a fail to fire. Quite accurate unless I really get serious about small groups. The cost is about the same as the Fed Bulk from Wally World and I can walk 30 feet from my car into my local gun shop and buy it from someone who knows my name. Don't have a long walk through the parking lot and store to hunt for someone to get it from behind the counter for me. Even if it was a couple of bucks more it would be worth it from someone who takes care of my needs, It is behind the counter at my local shop but I am welcome to go behind the counter and talk to the smiths and the owner.

Blazer quality
I stocked up with a few cases last summer when a local farm & ranch store had it on special.
No, it doesn't shoot as well as CCI SV, or Aquila SE but it was inexpensive and is capable of 100-10x with any of my Rugers and a Hi Stnd Citation that I have a heavier recoil spring in. I find it just fine for practice.

I shoot Blazers out of my Buckmark all the time. $15 at Fleet Farm for the box with ten 50 count boxes. I weigh my .22lr ammo to 0.1 grains and group them by weight. I have noticed a differance in groups between weighed ammo and just grabbing some.
