V-Comp help

Post by cheryld » Fri Feb 19, 2010 11:27 am

I just installed a V-Comp to my Ruger MKIII Hunter. After I shoot later this afternoon I will remove it to clean the buildup. What is the best way to do it? Also, does the O-ring need to be removed? If so, how does it come off? Thanks Cheryl

Spray it down with weld splatter spray before using it. It is a liquid to keep welding splatter from sticking and will make cleanup a lot easier. Then you can use your normal Hoppers #9 to clean it.

The o ring doesn't need to come off. Splatter shield is a big help if you use it B4 you shoot it.

Does anyone know how much the Volquartsen V-Comp weighs and how long it is (ie how much does it add to the overall length of the Handgun)?

Thanks

Larry
