I was taking my mkiii apart to clean it and I can't get it apart. I have cleaned the pistol a lot of times. The spring assembly does not release all the way, I can't get the bottom of the assembly to slide out. The pistol seemed to work allright at the range yesterday. I hope someone has some suggestions.
Thanks

Confirm gun is empty
confirm gun is empty
insert EMPTY magazine
pull trigger to lower hammer.
remove magazine
release main spring latch should only pop-up <1/4"
rotate latch and remove
If the latch will not swing out it can be caused by several things. One is the rivets are loose and preventing it from swing out. Using your hand you may be able to shift the pins by taping the gun on the side.
