MkIII magazine parts source....

Post by StretchMaK » Tue Aug 11, 2009 9:44 pm

I am looking for a source that has Ruger MkIII magazine parts. I would like to convert my 22/45 mags to regular MkIII mags and vice versa. I figure I can change the bottom plastic part and use the mags in my new MkIII. Anyone know a source. I can't find them on Rugers site, at least not yet.

The part numbers are on the illustrated parts breakdown in your pistol's manual. Or you can download a .pdf version off Ruger's website. They sell the parts but it is no longer cheaper to buy the parts separate of the whole magazine, like it used to be. You can use the bottom block off of a Mark II magazine too, they're the same for both models of magazines.

No problem, if you have any trouble I'll post the part numbers for the Mark III bottom blocks.

I don't do that. If you find a good deal out there with a retailer and want to tell folks, it's fine with me. What I don't condone is promotion for the sake of personal gain. That's not to say that if someone comes up with something really new and unique or extremely helpful to firearms users that they cannot post about it. I'm speaking of general merchandise promotions, those I discourage. If we don't share new ideas then our sport will stagnate. I definitely do not want to have that happen.
