Detail strip success! Thanks Bullseye!
I've had my Mark II for less than 2 weeks. I field stripped it to clean it and then I broke it down a couple of more times just to get more familiar with the process. I'm planning to do the VQ sear and trigger in the near future and didn't have anything better to do today, so I decided to take the plunge and do a detail strip to see what I was in for. Thanks to Bullseye's fantastic instructions and tips learned here and on other forums, I had no problems whatsoever and I knew a few little tricks and some pitfalls to watch out for. For anyone who is hesitant to do a detail strip, go for it! It really helps you understand how the pistol functions and it's also very satisfying to get it put back together with no parts leftover.

I had left over parts....
But the gun worked fine without the long piece that went from back by the hammer to the trigger (Mag safety bar) and a little metal piece off my bolt was left over.... (LCI link)...
Now to get that safety lock out... but so long as I don't engage it, I don't have to worry... Right?
