I'm surprised that Greener didn't find that grip
with the Drill-Press in his garage...
All of these years I know it was in a safe place, just too bad I did not know where that place was. Now to take it out for a little fun time. Just took it easy today and fell better than I have in the last few weeks, must be the sun and the warmer weather. Range is closed tomorrow for a black powder fun shoot my smith is running, may borrow one of his guns and try that front loader shoot out.greener wrote:Sure spiff's up the revolver.
Nice thing about staying in one place is the treasures are hidden where you last left them. I've moved enough that the treasures are in a box somewhere and will be found only if my heirs decide to see what's in the box.
Like I sad, I put them on when I was young and foolish to get that cowboy look. Now that I am older and I hope less foolish, I just had to have the originals back.Bullseye wrote:I pretty certain I have a couple of pairs of those grips sitting around in the shop. Good you found yours and took off those stag ones.

Looks like my cabin fever may get cured on Tuesday next, supposed to be nice and in the mid 50's WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
Bullseye, check things out, I do not get any more e mails about new posts
I checked my profile and everything there was all right so I started looking elsewhere, checked the spam folder and there they were, about 8 or 10 of them. Just marked them no spam and this last one just came through as regular email. Now I wish I could stop all of those male enhancement spams.Bullseye wrote:Thanks, I looked at your profile and your settings hadn't changed. I figured it was something with the Yahoo account. Glad to hear you've got it solved. Have fun at the range today.

You know, that is just about what I did yesterday and now I am cured and feel like a man your age. Took it easy all day and had a little of the old # 7 with a tall water and it worked miracles. Got to make sure I pick up more as I used the last of it yesterday.Hakaman wrote:May years ago when I was a young man and turned 21 and old enough to buy a handgun. Maybe you need a shot of the "Lynchburg Lightening" you were talking about?
Interesting gun though.

Not an awful lot to tell, really. Bought the gun in January of 1954 about a month after I turned 21 in mid December of 1953 and have had it ever since. Rarely sell a gun unless I really do not care to or can not get it to shoot like I think it should. Things were a lot different in the mid 50's,Damn the world has sure changed some things for the better and some not. CCW or ass they are called here in Michigan CPL"s were hard to get. Open carry while hunting was legal and open carry technically is still legal as far as I know but if you do some LEO or do gooder will make trouble for you. Got married in November of 57 and Ma and I are still together and happy. She is still my first love and always will be through good rimes or bad. Raising a family of 5 children did not give me any time to hunt, fish or shoot so the gun slept many years in a dresser drawer. Maybe 25 years ago, got back into guns but mostly shotguns and sporting clays, sure love breaking clays especially with my 28 gage. Shot the gun every now and then and an older Iver that I got from a friend that found in a house they were demolishing. Other than that, that is about it, except today it got up to 60 and we went to the range and did some shooting, so we shot it too for 18 rounds. Not a bad double action pull for an old gun. Shoot all of them now and then, the older ones less becasuse I want them to keep working. The Iver was manufactured in 1915.OpsMgr wrote:Great story and I'm glad you found the grip - Gotta love it when something like that happens! Tell us a little more about the pistol...
