Carry gun
What type of gun do you carry, a revolver or semiautomatic? I own a Kahr PM9 and a Ruger LCR, both I like a lot, but I think I prefer the revolver. Simple, imo more reliable, and conceals as well as the SA. How about you?
Re: Carry gun
A DAO snubbie. Just point and squeeze, can't get any simpler. They will eat most anything you feed them, too. I like my LCRs just fine.

Re: Carry gun
I carry a small Kimber Ultra Carry II in 45acp. Small light more compact than a revolver.

Re: Carry gun
A variety of smaller semi-autos find their way onto my hip. Mainly it depends on the season and the degree of conceal-ability necessary to avoid patterning my firearm.

Re: Carry gun
Current system 98% of the time is a Gen 4 Glock 26 with Trijicon HDs in a Comp-Tac C-TAC holster, and 10 round reload in the Glock mag pouch (which is excellent and I highlt recommend). This seems to work really well for my body type. The other 2% of the a Kahr CM9 in the same make and model of holster (no re-load, for light weight and better concealment). Strongly considering getting a Galco Classic Lite and trying the Kahr in it as it may work better for me on occasion.
I actually did carry the XDs .45ACP for about a year. I decided to trade it for the G26 as if you did not shoot it on the regular, the recoil is a bit much for fast shooting. Down the road, I would like to re-purchase this firearm for carry, but in the 4 inch barrel.

Carry revolver or semiauto. Depending on the mood

Wow! Someone here is still breathing....greener wrote:Carry revolver or semiauto. Depending on the mood

What is a revolver or semi-auto "mood" ? That's a new one. I'm stuck in revolver mood. I have too many visions of a semi misfeeding or jamming.

Re: Carry gun
Sometimes the 442 seems like the thing to carry and sometimes it seems like one of the semi-autos seem like the thing to carry. Whichever strikes me as the one I want to carry at the time.
Re: Carry gun
I check the forum every day or so. Hasn't been too many posts lately but I do get a lot of false registrations on a daily basis.

Re: Carry gun
I prefer to carry my SA Micro Compact because it points better and is .45ACP, but usually the Smith 442 because it is lighter and do not have to worry about clearing a jam, 38 plus P should do enough damage to do the job
You have great day and shoot straight and may the Good Lord smile on you.

Probably the most important issue!bearandoldman wrote:and do not have to worry about clearing a jam,
