Bearcat flap holster, pros or cons?

Just bought a handmade flap holster for my Bearcats, which I should have in a few days. Maker was a saddlemaker the seller knew, apparently not famous but did nice work.

A retired gentleman is liquidating his large collection online a few at a time. I let several of his Bearcat holsters go by, but this is nice basketweave and the same color as Ruger (Triole K) leather. It will match my Ruger Holster belt.

Anyone use a flap holster, particularly for a SA revolver? Pros and cons?

I've never had a flap style. I just thought my favorite guns deserved at least one extra nice holster. They already have Ruger, Hunter, and Blackhawk.

Flap holsters really protect the gun from brush, rain, fire, and brimstone ... and keep it secure if you are on horseback, ATV, going through the underbrush.

...but make for a slower draw.

can't wait to see a picture of your favorite guns new clothes.

I figured on the slower draw. I'll just avoid any high noon street duels when I use this holster......

It would be a shame to scratch it up when I fell dead in the street, anyway........

I've got the listing photos, holster with no Bearcat. With Bearcat will be possible once I have the holster. The ruger forum (.net) allows some photo space to members. I may post photos there, and a link to them here. I see too many photobucket, etc., photos go "poof" on groups. Not sure how to do those, anyway.
