Well it is official today.
Purchased an early 80's 6" custom shop Colt Python about two years ago to use for the DR matches.
Five matches in a row earning 6 points a piece.
Badge #99
Yeehawwww
Just had to let it out :)

Good for you......

I have a Colt Custom Shop 6" Ni version that is one sweet shooter. If yours in any thing like mine it kind of spoils you on the DA being so light and smooth.

Congrats Python,
I have yet to try a DR match. I need to take off the Bomar Rib on my S&W m19 in order to compete and just haven't taken the time to do it. But it would be nice to have another distinguished badge.

What load did you wind up using?

Yes the smooth DA is real nice.
Long line SA and short line DA is how I shot the matches.
My best score was a 272-4x and worst was a 253-3x.
I used the American Eagle 158gr lead round nose for matches.
Used an older lot for the long line which shot better than the newer lot that I got, used the newer lot for the short line.
I used up the last 10 shots of the older lot in the last match for the long line(came out just right :)
Thinking of selling her since I met my goal with her.
Want to get a shooter 4 inch blue Python.
