Not for Glock fans

I have a great disdain for plastic guns. Was watching a "Guns Of The World" episode on History Channel the other day. It mentioned Glocks having been ridiculed as "tactical Tupperware". I am sorry, I thought that was so funny.
I still think when it comes to "polymer" (ten dollar word for plastic) guns, we're being sold a bill of goods to keep gun production cheap and profits high.

I call 'em "Teutonic Tupperware" myself, but I'm pretty old fashioned. I just got my second Sig (a P220 to go with my P226) and kinda wonder about my manliness cuz they gots aluminum frames.
Good thing they shoot so nice...

Nothing so bad about an alloy frame, especially in a small caliber. At least it's metal. I would consider my personal limit as .380, maybe 9mm in an alloy frame, so far as trusting its durability.
Total stainless makes me happy. I would love it if my Bobcats were all stainless. The best Beretta does is a stainless slide and barrel, for an extra $80. The alloy frame is coated silver instead of black, and all the other parts are unchanged. So, I bought the basic black models.

Alloy frames are strong as steel but light weight. The neg on the alloy is corrosion and wear resistant. SS is the best when it come to strength and toughness but it too has some bad things, like gaulling. I one that think plastic is best for tupperware not firearms. But Glock and others have proved that the high tech polymers do work.
