Re: Greetings
Well, that makes it official then. There IS this Ruger 77 in .22-250 I've been lusting after.bearandoldman wrote:Happy New Year to everyone, it's a new year, so time to go buy another gun.
I'm sure SWMBO will see it my way if I show her your post...

If you need any more convincing, I say go for it. The Greener, Bear and I are on your side. I like my 1894 in .38/.357 so much that I have been looking for one in 45LC locally and no one has one new or used and most distributors do not have anything either. And then yesterday I saw this Remington Nylon 66 in the favorite shop and it looked good and I always did want one back in the 60's but raising a family interfered with guns back then. Now I can pay 3 times as much for a used one, than a new one would have cost me at that time. On the way home from the shop, I decided I really needed i so called them and had them set it aside and will probably get it tomorrow. Start off the new year right, eh?

All depends on who is interoreting the meaning of the word "need", there are many variations. Well, I can not find a Marlin in 45LC so I have to get a fix on something else.Bullseye wrote:Happy New Year to all! I may have to try that theory out here real soon. Not like I need any more firearms, but then "need" has a wide range of interpretations.![]()

The Henry Big Boys, although a nice gun does not really appeal to me, the shiny brass is to much bling to suit this old man. Want a side loader, side eject like my Marlin 1894C in .38/.357, just wanted some bigger bullets. The accuracy of th 1894 amazed me in .38 Special so I thought I wanted a bigger bullet gun. But then I wanted a Nylon 66 when they were new , so NOW I will have one when we are both old.Downeaster wrote:Well, a Henry Big Boy, what else?bearandoldman wrote: Well, I can not find a Marlin in 45LC so I have to get a fix on something else.

I just bought two guns over the last month. I'm not sure if I can "ethically" by another? Although my friend, who I was just at the range with, Has four Yugo SKS 7.62X39 's 7.62x39 caliber semi auto rifle. Has bayonet, grenade launcher, rubber buttpad and wood stocks. He is thinking of selling me one. Here's a link to the rifle:bearandoldman

Yup, the brass is a bit much. Especially when deer hunting. I wrapped it in some camo cling tape, but I'm considering going the Dura-Coat route. I'll probably be kicked outta the Henry Club for that...bearandoldman wrote: The Henry Big Boys, although a nice gun does not really appeal to me, the shiny brass is to much bling to suit this old man.
