all about .22 shorts. Spied some at Cabelas when I was down there and picked up a couple hundred.

Just now got around to trying them for function in Henry VIII. Feed them flawlessly and they all went bang.

I was a bit surprised at the amount of change in point of aim. Henry's zeroed with LR @ 25 yards, I had to aim about 6" high at 30 +/- yards.

Nice thing is, there's just this barely audible "POP!" so I can shoot in my back yard all I want. Guess I'm going to have to find me a brick or two...

I cam remember when they were the cheap ammo to shoo at about two bits a box of 50, but back in those days a quqrter was big money!!!!!!!

Yup. Started shooting with my Dad's old single-shot Remington. Load one, close the bolt, pull the cocking knob on the end of the bolt, touch one off, repeat.

Put a LOT of .22 shorts through that thing. I'd buy a box of 50 for something well under a buck (this would have been early 60's) and make it last as long as I could stand it.

Which wasn't long, most times...
