Seems like a big caliber bullet? I've never seen a Desert Eagle slug, but seems to be longer than that, but much shorter than th GI .50 cal BMG round. Can you tell? And the velocity? I'd seen my .223 handload do something of the sort with a soda can filled with water, at 100 yds- splash is so high it could be seen with the naked eye, more so with a milk gallon-container with water.

Difficult to tell the bullet type and caliber from the video. I cannot get a good still shot to ID the bullet. It appears to be a 30 caliber bullet of some type by the relative size compared to the known objects being penetrated. I cannot tell if it is a rifle or pistol bullet but the tail shape looks flat and not boat tailed. The nose appears conical and not pointed. It could be a magnum pistol bullet like .357.

And I would say only a magnum can do- and I'm referring to the velocity. Do you agree?

BTW, I'd used a GI .223 ball on a green coconut still with its husk around the nut 10" in diameter explode- literally- when hit and fell to the ground. I then used an M1 Garand using Ball M2 on another coconut in the same bunch and it just went through and through-- and the water just poured out from both sides, but did not fall off the tree. The green coconut remained intact, no sign of splitting.

Shape- yes, maybe, but definitely not the velocity to make that kind of impact!

Cool video, my first thought was 44 mag. I've popped a few melons in my day my S&W and seemed to have simular results.
