Took a Bearcat and LCR-22. They were forecasting some wind, so I thought short range guns would be better. Wind was an understatement. This range is on a mountain, and was blowing 10-15 mph with some stiff gusts. I was aiming an inch off at 50 feet to hit my Champion rubber prairie dogs at all. At best I was only getting them on 60% of shots.
Did the LCR at 30 feet and actually shot better, maybe 80%. For the LCR, that's better than I often do on a calm day. By the width of the prairie dogs, that's a 2.5 inch group.
About 55 degrees, with wind chill of maybe 45, plus shooting Thunderbolts. Not the best day, but I'll take what I get this time of year. The guy next to me was trying to sight a new scope, and he did a suitable amount of cursing.......
