Handgun ammo shortage continues

My .22 stash is up to 21k rounds, but still only a brick or two at a time. I'm not a pig when I've found it on a shelf. I'm planning on letting it dwindle down to about 7k again, and then try to keep it there. I've bought most of the last 10k because of the price increases, not poor availability. .22 is doing better in the last couple months.
I know .380 is still tight, and may be for a long time, due to all the .380 pistols out now. I may eventually upgrade my CCW to a Walther PPK, but in .32, not .380, so I won't have to smack someone with an empty pistol..........

Been looking at load data. They don't even MAKE a rotor for my Little Dandy that will dispense the teeny-tiny little dab of powder required. I guess I'll have to make one.greener wrote:Not a bad price. Dies are a good idea.
2.5 grains of Bullseye or W231 ain't much powder...
An empty weapon is just a very expensive hammer.

Yhea, Those small caliber are not the easiest to load for. Error in powder is greatly magnified when you only dealing with 3 gr of powder. The std accuracy of scales only being ±0.1 gr = 3.3% error so you could have a 6.5% swing and do nothing wrong. Since I do not shoot may of these I use a dribbler and weight each load.
If I recall all of the cylinder dispensers are all the same dia.

Use something like Unique, which requires more powder for the same MV and the relative error drops a tad.blue68f100 wrote:Yhea, Those small caliber are not the easiest to load for.
