Replated 1985 41
Several weeks ago I ran across a 1985 41, that I couldn't walk away from and someone had had it replated with a nickel finish. I haven't shot it yet but have changed the original grips. I have a couple of questions. One is that the slide is so slippery from the nickel that I had to put a small piece...

Mark lll Hunter-Slingshot Method
I have done all the upgrades to the Mk lll except the slingshot. Today I removed the spring and detent ball and assembled the gun. I put in an empty mag and pulled the bolt back but it wouldn't pull out partially, just all the way back and locked. Am I missing something here? I do have a PAC-Lite ba...

DriWash, Contact sg552-2 via PM on the Rimfire Central Forum. He is in Canada and has a machinest making up these bushings. They are $10 each. I received mine today-you will flip when you see them. They look exactly like the one's Bulleseye machined for himself many months ago, and have the MK ll's ...

I think it's just as accurate as the original bull barrel but extremely light weight-making the gun a joy to handle. It also gives me two guns for approximately 1/2 the cost of another Ruger. This was a Talo edition originally so I have some very nice wood grips that came with it and this was a trad...

Thanks everyone and especially Bullseye for months of personal and website help with both guns. I learned so much about these Mark 3's that when I shoot them it will be with so much more confidence because I know exactly what all the parts inside the bolt and frame should be and will be doing. I sho...

Bullseye-I think I may be jumping the gun at this problem, since I haven't shot the gun(s) yet. I'm afraid the more I read the more I get a brain overload of all the info on your board. I really don't want to start grinding on the mags if they don't need it. I do have a VQ extractor installed along ...

I just finished V.Q.'ing
my Mark lll 512 and a Mklll 22/45 when I ran across a troubleshooting article by Bullseye who wrote concerning the 1/16" distance between the rear left lip on the magazine and the bottom of the ejector. Well I have a total of 8 mags for both guns and every one of them does not have this clearance, i...

Thanks B.E.
Again many thanks for your help. After fighting with the Pre and Over all day in my MK III and 22/45, I decided to write for help-you came to the rescue. Bullseye would you happen to know if the sear spring for the 22/45 is available anywhere-I've straightened out a little bend I got in it, working ...

PreTravel Question
I have a 22/45 with the VQ kit installed. I cannot seem to get that "click" that Bullseye alluded to in his adjustment of the pre-travel, although I do hear it with my MK III VQ trigger. I have adjusted the pre travel screw slowly in and out, but only hear the click after pulling and holding the tri...
