Seems like there's a widespread difference from Ruger to Ruger on the Goldens vs Federals. I have a relatively new MK III (bought last year, have put probably 3 bricks through it since). My wife has a used MK I classic. We've had no problems with the Remington Goldens but have had alot of problems w...

If anybody finds out where there is ammo, let me know. Haka "lead dry" man I hear ya! Really makes us shooters happy when we go down to Wally's or the local shooters supply and see the empty shelves. I wish all the doomsday folks out there would stop hoarding ammo so that us shooters (with jobs tha...

I was in Wally World the other day and bought 5 bulk boxes of Federal Auto Match 325. They had eight boxes on the shelf but I didn't want to buy it all. My bride suggested I get it all but then complimented me on not taking it all for myself. I really didn't need it but the shelves have been so bar...

Ammo Hoarders and Scaremongers--Chill Please!!!
To all you ammo hoarders and chillmongers out there...please calm down! President Obama won't be able to ban guns nor will congress go along with it. That's political suicide! So, the next time you go down to buy ammo...PLEASE BUY WHAT YOU NEED...not everything you see on the shelf. Leave some for o...

Guess I'm getting a bit miffed at all the people hoarding ammo and buying up whatever stock is available...not what they need. People should have some consideration for others during this time when ammo is in short supply. Obama's NOT going to be able to outlaw gun ownership, nor will congress go al...

OK. This all sounds pretty reasonable. In my ignorance I thought the loctite glue was a permanent "solution." I'm off to the store to get some. Also, thanks Bullseye for the suggestion about removing the bolt prior to applying the glue. It'll be well worth it given my experiences with glue while bui...

Is Loctite necessary for weaver mount on Mark III?
I just purchased a red dot sight for my ruger mark III and want to attach the weaver mount. The instructions say I need to degrease the screws and screw holes and then apply loctite...then screw in the mount. First off, the mount makes the gun look butt-ugly. Secondly, I'm not certain I want to keep...

It might just be that you need to contact Ruger and have it fixed before going off and doing anything to the gun.

Replacing dovetail-mount non-adjustable rear site w/ optics
Hey folks. I recently bought a Taurus PT92B 9 mm pistol and have shot it several times. Getting fairly accurate with it now that I know I have to hold the front sight about 3 inches above bullseye at 25 yds to hit near where I want to hit. It has a non-adjustable rear sight that is attached via dove...
