I had left over parts.... But the gun worked fine without the long piece that went from back by the hammer to the trigger (Mag safety bar) and a little metal piece off my bolt was left over.... (LCI link)... Now to get that safety lock out... but so long as I don't engage it, I don'...

My shots will be max 6-8 feet. They are hammering my rafter boards. I have 30 to 40 in a hundred square feet at any one time. The short distance I have to worry about is why I want the pistol for this. I would throw my back out I am afraid if I was trying to swing on them with the rifle... 8)...

Rat Shot... Bullseye...

Bullseye, I have fired plenty in my years but curious if I am going to suffer any ejector damage etc. by using rat shot in my MKIII. I will be using it as single shot. I am going hunting for carpenter bees that are attacking my barn. I could use my ruger MK rifle but these buggers are quite good pil...

I am most familiar with c-hairs but would consider a dot. I do not want any battery powered devices though. Optical clarity with a max power of 4-6X Is what I am guessing...

Scope for the .22/45

Okay... I admit that my eyes are slippin'! I bought the .22/45 MKIII 5.5 inch bull barrel. I intended to teach my daughter to handle handguns. She isn't real pushy and we aren't in a home where daily target practice would sit well with neighbors. One or 2 rimfire shots ever so often is fine thus far...

If you are a very politically incorrect type it has to go. As Bullseye said... But for me having been raised to "remove the mag, clear the chamber and verify weapon is *SAFE* before starting any work" I just don't like to have a magazine reinstalled to pull the trigger to begin a field str...

Kappy, It is so easy and reversible to remove the LCI part that you could try it without and see if it fixes it. Including the strip and reassembly included it is a 10 minute job...

Melch I think they pop off... When I do mine I intend to install them with epoxy and the screws if it don't seem the screw lugs are firmly set enuff in my frame. I will have access holes for pins so won't need the grips removed... I sure like the rattle snake hide look on a kimber I seen in the gun ...

For a super low dough magnetic mat... go to a sign shop and ask them to save a "goofed" magnetic door sign and you are good to roll (or in this case, NOT ROLL).

I too, use the Fed bulk box. I also ran over 500 rounds of rem bulk thru my 22/45. I have not had a single failure to eject (FTE)... I have about 1,500-2,000 rounds of ammo total. My gun was in a green plastic bag and it had a hardened lube residue inside and some gunk on the exterior of the pistol ...
