The bottom edge of the bolt face should have a slightly rounded edge and not be capable of digging into the bullet nose as it rides over it. http://guntalk-online.com/images/rugerwornbolt.jpg This picture shows a typical Mark III bolt face. You can see the edge where the case rim is picked up out o...

Thanks blue. I've inspected my mags for burrs and also their relationship with the ejector; all appear fine. It's interesting you mention the LCI. I was looking closely at mine today, inspecting for crud and proper operation, and noticed (with an empty chamber) I can push sideways on the closed bolt...

Troubleshooting a 22/45 Lite Cobalt
My new Cobalt was experiencing stovepipe malfunctions until I replaced the faulty extractor with a VQ unit. The stovepipes disappeared but now I am getting double feeds on the last two rounds in the magazine. The second to last round will feed about half way into the chamber while the bottom of the ...

Any suggestion? Actionflies, I bought the same model a few weeks ago and, now that you've mentioned...

Mark III hammer bushing mod problem/question
I have acquired a third Ruger MarkIII (this is a vile sickness) and have/had a small problem after eliminating the magazine safety. The gun shot fine in stock form but when I replaced the magazine safety parts with a Mark II hammer bushing mod, I would get the occasional stove pipe similar to the on...

New Ruger Mark III owner and new member
Well I must confess that I had planned to purchase a Buckmark but my local dealers couldn't get the one I wanted. I've learned that "Browning makes them in batches, some models are scarce, and no one(including Browning) knows when they will be available". So the story went. After gaining much knowle...
