Its a Mark II that has a Vol sear and trigger, and Clark hammer bushing.
I want the pistol checked out to make it more reliable on ignition. I get light firing pin indents, and I have exhausted all I know myself to fix.

Bulleye,
Can you post a link to your shop or give contact info.
Can you also recommend gunsmiths that specialize in customizing the Mark II&III's. Especially anyone in the CT, RI area, but others also.

Thinking about adding the Volquartsen Titanium Firing Pin and would like to get some comments. Has anyone used it. Did it increase or decrease ignition reliability. Any other advantages.

I am referring to the hammer main spring. I know several people who own Mark IIs. Their comments, plus the many comments we read on this and various gun forums, all indicate that the Mark II has a tendency toward ignition problems. I pick up some of the spent casings from people shooting other 22's,...

Extra Power Main Spring?
I know several companies make reduced power main springs, but no one seems to make an extra power main spring. If not available from a gun supply vendor, has anyone done the homework to buy one from a spring supply house, or a company like McMaster Carr. Does anyone have the specifics on the spring ...

I wouldn't say the pin is loose, but it slides freely without any binding. Without the return spring it will slide with gravity. I did try to enlarge the stop hole but only took off about 3 thou. Maybe I should try a little more. /the above post mentioned filing the pin face 'blunt' but I think its ...

Not sure how old, but old. 15 years I'd guess. I have replaced the main spring and the recoil spring. Tried both new ruger firing pins and Volqs pins. Clark hammer bushings. Volqs sear and trigger. Bolt face looks good and there are no problems chambering. Strikes are consistent on both rounds that ...

MKII, can you increase firing pin strike.
I thought this was a problem unique to my Mark II. But my shooting friend recently bought a Mark II that was near new. At the range my Mark II is very sensitive to misfires, his not as much, but still more than I think acceptable. His is stock. Mine has the Clark bushings, Volqs sear and trigger. I ...
