Bullseye.
Took my 41 to the range and the Mag's worked good. Still have to push
in on the latch for them to go. Thanks again Bob

S&W M-41 Magazine catch spring
Bullseye thanks. When I took the old one out it had a spring over the threads. That's what got me confused. And that don't take much. The owner before me must of had trouble and added the spring. I've had it at least 20 years and no trouble until got some new magazines. Looks like it had one extra s...

S&W M-41 Magazine catch spring
Just ordered a new mag catch and spring for my M-41. The new spring
is to small to go over the threads on the catch. It's the right part number
at least that's what's on the bag. Is the spring supposed to go over the
threaded catch that the mag nut screws on. Thanks Bob
Ps it's a Smith m 41

Checked the thickness of the newer and old ones. Newer ones are 10ths Smaller. I'll try them in another M41 when I go to the range. Took some pictures but They didn't turn out good enough to tell anything. I think the 10 ths is my problem. Newer ones has the slot cut longer around the front. Think t...

Bullseye. I have four magazines that stay locked in the gun good. And three of the newer ones that the magazine falls out after the first round is fired. That's why I thought the Mag catch is bad. Looking at the Mag's that fall out and can't tell any difference in them. If I hold the grip with Upwar...

S&W M-41 magazine problem
S&W magazines falling out. Just got four mag used for my M41. Three of them fall out when shooting. My older ones work good. Think I need a new mag catch. Looked at the catch it is shiny on the top. Like it's worn. Best place to buy a catch and how hard is it to replace? They are newer ones without ...

My 41 is better off hand shooting. Slab side has a 2x Leupold and the 41 has a TC 1.5x scope. Off a rest at 25 yards they are about equal. It's what you want to plink or target shoot. Ruger is a good plinking or hunting gun. But I'll take my 41 for target shooting. It just feels better. Could be I s...
