Thanks guys. I have a nice arkansas stone. What I was thinking is to have the face of the hammer, above the stone and perpendicular to the stone. I have modified my markIII with a Radar trigger, VQ sear, MarkII hammer and Clark bushing. The end result is a very nice trigger pull with a little creep left. If you get the MarkII hammer, I would suggest to get the Clark bushing. It removes most of the creep. But best of all, you can take out the magazine disconnector and spring.
