...... sure is a bunch of factory triggers floating around. Shoot I've got five of my own. I wonder if there is a market for them? Is the major difference between the OEM and VQ trigger the set screws ? They look pretty much the same. Maybe you can modify the old OEM ones you have and sell them....

Thanks all for the suggestions. It's a MKIII678 "Target" model with metal frame.... I don't see a way or the have tools to get at the receiver recess so I'll get some emery cloth and give that fix a try. I attempted reassembling and I'm about 1/32-1/16" shy of having the bolt stop hole in the receiv...

MKIII Receiver/frame Disassembly fix

I just got a new "target" model and had to really pound on the receiver to remove it from the frame. Is there a recommended fix to loosen up the receiver/frame locking lug fit so that you will only have to tap on the receiver to remove it ? Below are [pics of the frame and receiver. The receiver rec...

Re: clark hammer bushing and pin, MK II

Is there any place to get a Clark hammer bushing and pin besides Clark? I don't mind paying the price ($15.50) ,but Clark wants $7.50 (half the cost of the item) for shipping an ounce of metal. Does any one else carry these? Price update... Although the Clark Hammer bushing & pin is $15 it appears ...

Uncle Mike's makes holsters for scoped handguns but unfortunately they are the "bandalero" type that requires shoulder straps; not something that will easily attach to your belt.

MKIII adjustable rear sights

What is a "micro-adjustable" rear sight ? Are the MKIII "adjustable" rear sights on the "Hunter", "Competition", and "Target" models all the same ? Also, are parts available to replace the "Hunter" Vee-notch rear sight blade with a traditional square notch blade ?

Steel plate ammo for MKIIIs ?

I'm looking into switching to .22 LR for shooting 3/8" thick, 6" diameter, steel plates at 50 yards and need ammo suggestions. Accuracy and knock down power are both seem important and I've already discovered standard velocity ammo is marginal for knock down power. The MKIII manual indicates to use ...

Hogue also makes a set of thumbrest rubberized grips (with finger grooves) for around $20 if you just want to get a set. Rimfire Sports & Custom has them for $20.95 with no shipping costs. This style grip feels nice and can fit either the Mark III or II pistols. R, Bullseye Good idea, it might be m...

Well, i guess that the $5 part is about right, relatively painless for what your getting though. Good for Ruger for being stand-up about it. Buried in Ruger's web site is a statement saying they will "exchange" unused scope rings for a different sized set. Had they mentioned left-handed grips I wou...

Thanks........
I called Ruger [928-778-6555] this morning and was told "unused"
target right hand grips can be exchanged for left hand target grips. Need to sent right hand grips to Prescott, AZ address, ATTN: PARTS, along with $5.00 [check or credit card #] for return S&H.

MkIII 22/45 frame width ?

Are there any quick fixes, like slip on grips, to increase the MKIII 22/45 frame width ? My SW1911 measures 1.30" wide and the MKIII 22/45 frame feel like only ~3/4" wide. The grip angle is great but the width is just too narrow. Are the MKII 22/45 frames the same width as the MKIII ?

Will Ruger "exchange" MKIII Competition grips ?

I'm a left hander shooter and was disappointed to find KMKIII678GC grips are right handed, with thumb rest, instead of ambidextrous grips. The gun store manager says Ruger will exchange the right handed grips for left handed ones but I see nothing on the Ruger's web site that mentions this. Has anyo...
