My Ruger Markiii Target magazine hits something about 1/2 th
My Ruger Markiii Target magazine hits something about 1/2 the way in. If I jiggle the mag a little it goes in the rest of the way. Has anyone encountered this problem?

Bullseye, how could Ruger get the new Ruger Lite into CA?
Bullseye, you being well versed in CA's Firearm Laws having been a licensed retailer what would it take to get the new Ruger Mark111 22/45 Lite into California? It looks like a really cool gun many of us would love to own but I guess the threaded barrel is a no no here in CA.

Good to hear you've got your Mark III running well again. You may have a point that a combination of factors were the cause of your malfunctions. Ultimately adjusting many parts caused the solution. I am well versed in CA's Firearm Laws having been a licensed retailer there for many years in the 19...

Ejector's solid, Extractor's new VQ, Plenty of clearance for the mag feed lips to the ejector pin, but something is knocking the spent cases off of the extractor. You need to remove that LCI and test fire the gun without it in place. Regardless of how much it appears to not interfere that is the on...

Everything there sounds good. How is the ejector pin - is it tightly secured in the frame? R, Bullseye Bullseye I just went and checked. It seems solid as a rock and has nice sharp edges as does the extractor. Some one mentioned the recoil spring. Is that really a possibility? Also someone said the...

Are you using any oil on the bolt? This is the only thing that gets lightly oiled. The clearance between the mag and ejector is important. If too high the mag knocks off the brass as it comes back. Normally there is around 1/32"-1/16" clearance. If touching the mags are setting to high. Bullseye me...

mark111 22/45 has failures to eject every 100 rounds
My mark111 22/45 has failures to eject every 100 rounds or so. It's got about 4000 rounds through it and I replaced the ejector with a Volquartsen one when it was new 3 months ago. I use Federal Automatch RN which it seems to like. It gets a thorough cleaning after every use. Anyone have any idea wh...

Ruger Mark111 22/45 Grip changes
I installed the Majestic Arms 1911 wood grips and the Pearce rubber grips to my Mark111 22/45. They fit right on with out any problems. Use a scissors to just take a little off the Pearce rubber grip and install with the same screws. I really like the thumb grip and it feels better in the hand. I be...

Will the Ruger 22/45 Mark111 mags fit any other models?
Will the Ruger 22/45 Mark111 mags fit any other models? Now that I have 7 22/45 mags and really love this little gun I'd like to know if these mags will fit any of the other Ruger Mark's.

Locktiteing hammer bushing to hammer
Thanks Blue68f100. Loctiteing the hammer bushing to the hammer really helps? Sounds logical. I will try it next time I get the gun apart. This is a very dirty little gun and I clean it after every 300-500 rounds. Good tip on the LCI. I have my 7 mags numbered to see if there is any particular mag th...

ammo choice
I was using the Federal Champion bulk pack 550 and the Winchester bulk pack 555. I think maybe the Federals had the edge over the Winchester's. The Fed bullets are much more rounded and the Win's are more flat nosed. Many people have said that their 22/45 will shoot anything you feed it. I'd like to...

Thanks to everyone's help the problem is mostly solved
Thanks to everyone for your help on the FTF/ FTE problem! It's really great when we can help each other with problems we've encountered and their solutions. I disassembled the gun and did a thorough cleaning and lubing of it and 7 mags. I replaced the extractor with a VQ one and also replaced the ma...

Thanks everyone for your replys
I have ordered the Volquartsen extractor and it should be here during the week. The LCI (loaded chamber indicator) barely sticks out when there's a round in the chamber. I noticed if you push it manually it has a lot more extension to go. There is a lot of tension on it and I can see how it could mi...

My new Ruger Markiii 22/45 has severe FTF and FTE problems
My new Ruger Markiii 22/45 has severe FTF and FTE problems. Sometimes there's a stuck round in the chamber from every magazine. The round hits on the top edge of the feed port and since it's too high it gets bent like a banana. When this happens I pull the mag out and pull the bolt back clearing the...
