The reamer worked on one issue. The rounds now extract. I found several more problems after that. Contacted S&W and got a warranty repair return label.

I have ordered the reamer. Update to follow.

I ran the pistol with lube on the first round and without. Same issues- FTE with a stove-piped round. Then I used a brush on the bore after each stage. That helped. It appears to me that the chamber is very tight. Recommendation for addressing this?

On the line tonight my model 41 was shooting great. In fact, I shot a personal best with the pistol. However, during the rapid fire stage I had two FTE's which cost me an even better score. I bought a Camper for my wife for Valentines day, 2011. She was happy. Her co-workers at the hospital though it was weird. I told her about your post. The question I got, was, "what did his wife say?"

I ordered spares from Numrich Gun parts, for both my 41's, the same day I made the bends in the originals. The spares are both in my pistol box.

Since I never use the safety on the 41 this solution is great. It has the added bonus of keeping the pistol fully functional, in the event that a safety function check is ever called for during a pre-match inspection.
