Thanks for the info, but I will not be removing the receiver that often. I made a patch worm and it works really well. I don't have to worry about the LCI because this is a mark II upper on a Mark III lower. The patch worm works great if you have never seen one let me know and I will post instructio...

Ruger Mark II.5 10" closer to done
I received my Mark III Grip Frame today. It makes my Mark II look like a new gun. It is so much nicer with the 1911 Mag release. It was very tight fit to get the receiver/ Barrel on the frame. It will take a little while before it loosens up to break down. Now I will have to buy a used barrel and bol...

Mark II 10" onto a Mark III Grip Frame ?
I have been reading and just curious what a guy should be aware of putting the Mark II 10" barrel/Receiver onto the Mark III Grip Frame. Mine when I bought it the bluing was worn of the rear of the safety grip, that just annoys me, I also would rather have the 1911 style mag release. I decided to se...

Old Style Volquartsen Trigger Pre-travel
I have posted about my new to me Mark II 10" barrel. It has the old style Volquartsen wide target trigger. I really like the feel of the wide trigger pad. This trigger had the over travel take up allen head screw but not the pre-travel screw. I used to have the model Mark III with the pre and after ...

Finally Got My Mark II 10" Sear Needed
I have had several Ruger Mark series pistols over the years. I have always wanted the 10" Mark II. I just got rid of my S&W Model 41 to help pay taxes on a newer car so I needed another 22 Pistol. I decided to get a Ruger Mark II 10" finally. I bought one off GunBroker and it finally arrived yesterd...

RIA Commander Finished (Now Tactical)
I bought the RIA Commander because I was hooked and still am on the 1911 platform but I wanted the smaller size to carry. Taurus, Remington did not make the commander size. I held the RIA once when I bought my Taurus PT1911, but bought the Taurus over the RIA. When I was looking for the Commander si...

Bullseye I do like the short triggers. I have three 1911 and all with the short trigger. I am 5'5"inches hand my hands are smaller, so the short trigger is the best way to go. I am really impressed with the fit of the slide and bushing, the gun is very well made and just feels good in my hands. I di...
