BUD33, That VQ sear may not look like you want but it will bring the pull weight down. I've installed maybe two dozen of them, straight out of the envelope, in MK11 and MK111's and never had a pull go over 3lbs. Given that, I don't think there is much room to do a lot of stoning/polishing on it befo...

Just got an e-mail from Brownell's saying the 4 1/2 in. mount was shipped. I'll post a pic when I get it installed. I did not think to check the price on the longer mount with the built in rear sight but it sure looks good. But, I can't see where you gain anything with the longer mount over the Ruge...

Bullseye, I'm a little late getting back on this but I see Nic is still offering .17 conversion parts for the 10/22. I still can't see any reason the MK series pistols can't handle the load if an aluminum receiver 10/22 can. The .17 is just not that wild a cartidge. The Stingers and Aguila are alrea...

Bullseye, I looked at those Tactical Solution mounts and called customer service. They are only available in anodized black. Brownell's has one that looks as good and is available in matte silver. I'm going to try one as I am tired of trying to strip and polish anodized parts to match the stainless ...

Bullseye, Got one more that won't apply in a lot of cases but: If you are going to remove the factory iron sights and install a scope/red dot as the only sighting system and want a little neater looking installation, just reverse the Ruger mount and use only two screws to hold the mount. This way th...

Bullseye, Looks good. Here are some of mine. Use as you see fit. One thing I have run into three times on the bolt dragging problem is that the screws that came with the Ruger scope mount were a tad long and the rear screw just barely bore on the recoil spring enough to cause a drag. A few licks wit...

J Miller, I second all of Bullseye's advice but you'll have to choose between the MK11 and 111. I've been tweaking both up lately and while I like the MK111 mag release, I just don't like the plastic LCI marring the look of an otherwise great looking pistol. I have one MK11 678GC, one MK512 and one ...

.17 cal./Bullseye
Bullseye, Do you have any new info about Ruger bringing out a MK111 in .17 caliber? I can't see any reason Ruger can't do it as the 10/22 rifle has been upgraded to .17 cal. and the only things I can think of that are needed is a stronger recoil spring and maybe a heavier bolt. I've just finished tw...

Len, I've got a couple of old rifle scopes laying around so I'll try your way. 50 yards is about my limit but it would be nice to see the holes without a spotting scope or walking back and forth to the target.. I wonder what happened to Seal Killer and his long range experiment. I have'nt seen a pos...

Len, I just posted a pic of my latest one on the workshop. The scope just came in this morn and I'm just about done with this one. As I said before, us old men have to have some toys to play with and I'll read the posts more carefully before jumping in with something I know nothing about cause I don...

Bullseye Yeah, I remember you and Ruger thrashing it out over the LCI. If you or anyone else has any of the old steel LCI's laying around that you don't need I would sure like to have a couple. I do take the metal tab out of the new ones and would just like to have something better looking than that...
