Blindpig, Thanks for that. I agree that we get some answers on other forums that are a little on the sarcastic side. As Bullseye has said, there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers. All along, my only point was: If you ask a question and get an answer that remotely applies then you should a...

Well, as I said, I was just letting off steam.
I still think that if I, or anyone else, go to the trouble to look up and post a url or other website, or try the best I can, to answer a question to try to help someone with a problem then some sort of reply is in order.
I won't worry about it anymore.

Just Griping

I have to vent a little. If people want answers to questions here and on almost every other forum I frequent they ought to have the courtesy to at least acknowledge that they have read the answering post. Maybe the answer is not what they are looking for but at least let us know that the answering p...

Silver VQ trigger

I see that Rimfire Sports now has the new MK111 trigger in silver color. No word on whether or not it has been modified to fit ALL MK11's.

MK11 hammer source

I found that AMT made a pistol years ago that was a clone of the Ruger MK11 and looked up some parts for the AMT at Numrich. They still have hammers listed so I ordered a couple of them hoping to find a source for MK11 hammers. If what I got is an indication of AMT quality I can see why you don't se...

Blindpig, Sorry to see that you had so much trouble ordering from Eric Brooks. Everything I ordered came in on time. Some of the guys over at Rimfire Central said that Brooks had some family problems and got a little behind on his orders and that he is a good guy to do business with. I know I'm sati...

Len, Yeah, I just had to have something to tinker with since my last MK11 just does not have anything left to do to it. This CZ is a piece of work. I could not believe how the sights were installed. You probably already know this but the rear sight is mounted on a sleeve that is run down on the barr...

I bought a CZ 452 Special in HMR a few days ago then went searching for tune-up info. The CZ forum at RFC is a good source of info. I also ordered the trigger kit from Eric Brooks last Sat. and got an e-mail from him yesterday saying I should receive the kit tomorrow. I'm mainly looking for his trig...

Make sure the hammer strut is not caught behind the sear spring pin when you try to remove the bolt.

I have noticed that Bullseye has not been answering questions on other forums either. Maybe he is on vacation I guess that he has put out so much info and help that no one needs any more step by step help anymore. Sure would be a shame to see this and the MK11.org go down. I would have thrown my 1st...

If we don't get a little busier Bullseye might pull the plug on this forum. I've made a couple of posts just to see if anyone is still looking and didn't get any replies. Maybe Bullseye has so put out so much info that everybody is able to fix any problem without asking here. I don't see all that mu...

MK11 Mag Release Mod.

I got tired of having to pick the mags out of my MK11678GC after hitting the mag release so: I have the VQ extended mag release that I had to modify in order to keep the mag lip from hitting the ejector and while doing that I also filed a rounded notch in the front of the release to match the rounde...

Len,
I'd get one like yours but I wouldn't be able hold it up straight. The scope is bigger than the pistol.
I hope you never drop that rig on your foot, you'll be cripled for life.

bud33,

I use an UltraDot4Dot for anything out to about 50 yards. After that I use a Bushnell 2-6X scope.
The Ultra is a good buy at Larry's Guns and the Bushnell is $150.00 at Midway.

Take a look at all the stickies on the Workshop forum here. All just my opinions but I don't think you need the VQ kit, just the sear and maybe the trigger later. No, you don't want to remove the bolt release. The Clark pin and bushing kit is a good mod. Sear at- http://www.rimfiresports.com/merchan...
