Most of the internals are the same between the 22/45 MKIII and the metal MKIII. There are some minor differences in the hammer and sear pins, the bolt release, and the sear return spring. The underside of a 22/45 receiver barrel assembly is peened at the factory to tighten the fit on the plastic fr...

Rem oil is fine. Use in sparingly or you will cause residue to build up internally in your pistol. I apply a few drops to a clean rag and wipe the parts down with it. A Q-Tip with a dab of light oil works well for parts in hard to reach locations. Take care when inside your frame to remove all the ...

How hard is it to work on a 10/22
Going to a local gun show in the next 2 weeks and I am hoping to score a 10/22 cheap maybe 100-120 dollars used. I was wondering if there easy to work on as the 22/45 MK III Pistol. I love to pick up one that's having a minor issue for super cheap. If there easy to repair. I will also more then like...

What to oil when you detail strip.
Right now I have it stripped down all the way - the sear which is still installed. I ask because I am noticing some wear on hammer and some of the other internals such as the safeties look like there getting wear spots. Maybe nothing but just wanted to check. First time I detail striped the pistol I...

Sounds like your pretavel screw is moving and needs some blue locktight. Your initial adjustment was apparently OK. Readjust and locktight. The spring that comes with the trigger will proabably give you less than 2# pull. I used the original to keep mine over 2#. Stew Cool what I was thinking and I...

VQ Sear/Trigger Issue.
Not really sure whats going on but I installed a VQ sear and Trigger into my Mk III 22/45. It worked great at the range until ruffly 275 rounds had been shot thought it. All of a sudden you would pull the trigger and nothing you could push the trigger forward and feel a snap then it would fire. My g...
