London and Corbin here went wet for restraunts only, so far. This is the only place you can get a drink between Richmond and Jellico. About a 100 mile dry zone I guess you'd say.

BTW, I find myself mainly aligned with Libertarians. No harm, no foul.

The Hunter actually sells for around $700~. http://www.reedsammo.com/ will sell you one for $740 + $20S&H + transfer fee. Plus, I've heard they're not actually a 6" barrel. More like 5" with a funky bushing device on the front that makes up the extra inch, although you do get the sight radius. The b...

It was the Russell County Sheriff's Department, back late in 1979 to early in 1981. I was just a young kid straight out of college and was hired initially just to transition the department from their wheelguns to semi-autos. However, the department got rocked by a major scandal because the Sheriff ...

Allen, what department did you work with in KY? I'm here in the South, just off Interstate 75. Bob, the sectional density of the 10mm's 200gr bullet is .179 (equal to 160gr .357"). It's known to be a great penetrator, even in hollowpoints. The XTP is usually seen to penetrate about 19" with expansio...

Rook......I used Blue Dot in one load I had built for my Delta. It was a 150-155gr. Sierra over 12.0grs. of Blue Dot. Not using Blue Dot all that much, it did a great job on paper at 25 yds. I'm using Power Pistol in my 165gr loads. It's very similar to Blue Dot, but less muzzle flash. Velocities a...

For reference, if I had to go into battle, I'd pick the AK-47 for a general-purpose weapon. I do love a low-recoil .30-cal. If I wanted something for long range, I'd toss a coin between the .308 and .30-06, but hoping the coin would land on the .308. I love my 8mm Mauser, but the recoil is punishin...

Depends on what kind of bear though. Grizzly and brown just about demand a .44 Magnum minimum with heavy 300gr soft point or cast loads. A .454 or larger would be good advice. Black bear are a different story however. I wouldn't consider a .357 too undergunned if utilizing 180gr bullets, cast or jac...

Bob, Allen, thanks for your comments. In KY, it's legal to hunt deer with any centerfire cartridge in handgun or rifle. So legalities aren't a problem, even with the .45 if I decided to go that route. The barrel on the Witness is 4.5" or slightly longer. Not quite 5" of a full-size auto. As of last ...

In the end: IPB 2.1.7 chokes on MySQL 5.0. Needless to say, I was using it and that is why the scripts kept screwing up. An older version seems to work fine. Also, it appears Globat has done some improvements since the last time I attempted, because the upgrade scripts used to timeout. I also conver...

MKIII.org Forum is Back! (formerly MarkII.org)

Ok, the forum is back and running, and everything seems fine. You can reach the forum by going to http://www.mkiii.org/ and letting it redirect you, or you can go to http://www.mkiii.org/forum directly. I still have plans for a new skin, more Ruger Rimfire information, and don't fret if old attachme...

OK, we will have the old forum back. I've tested some stuff, even upgraded the old database to 2.1.7 with almost no problems. However, I want to try some stuff before opening it back up. This means it won't be up until sometime tommorrow afternoon.

You can't yet. It's just now been fixed to where I can work on the forum and try getting it setup. I'll post here again when a working forum is setup and functional.

Last transmission as of 4pm with Globat: I would really love to assist you further with this, unfortunately, this concerns our billing department. I have just reopened your ticket in our billing queue, I just updated and put your concern. You should expect a resolution or a response as soon as possi...
