Bulseye,
Just picked one of these up today. Traded a Mak for it. Do you think it would be possible to remove the mag disconnect? What would the difficulty level be? I come to you for all questions Ruger.

Before the old gun had a trigger pull of about 2 lbs. Now, the new combination has a trigger pull of a very few ounces. Barely takes any pressure to set it off. Found this out by putting a balnk shell in and with the safety on releasing the slide. Then it will go off until I release the safety and p...

Bullseye, I hope you're looking
This concerns two MK III 22/45s. The first one I’ve had for about four years. It has a four inch barrel. Shortly after I purchased it I replaced the trigger, the sear and the hammer with VQ parts. Because of light strikes I eventually put the Ruger hammer back in. I also took out the mag safety and ...

I made a mistake
I put a thread in the handgun forum which really belonged in the rimfire handgun forum. Can you guys move it with my apologies?
Actually, this is the second time I made a mistake. Once in 1965 I thought I was mistaken but that wasn't the case.

Took it out to the range this PM. Shot it first with Win 555 off a sandbag at 15 yards. Got about a one inch group for ten rounds at six o'clock about an inch and a half low. Chiappa says their front sight is too high to begin with. Shot a total of 150 rounds. Two failures to eject on the 555. Shot ...

Anyone care to offer recommendations or tips aside from telling me to use it as a boat anchor?

Extended safety for Mk II 22/45 (homemade)
I've been agonizing over this for some time. Decided to do it myself regardless of looks. Took a 5.7x28 spent cartridge and cut the neck off and then cut it to .280 inches deep. The interior space of the cartridge was about .02 inches wider than the Ruger safety. It went on not quite solid so I put ...

Beretta Neos problem
To begin with, this problem is of my own making. I didn't do my homework. Bought a used Neos. It was the old safety and it was broken. Called Beretta and they said about two and a half weeks turnaround time sent me UPS prepaid sticker. They've now had it about five weeks. Called this morning and the...

I can remember back in the early 80s (?) when Chuck Taylor and Evan Marshall were having a venomous row over whether the 357 or the 45acp was the better round. At that time I was in the Taylor camp. Now I think they were both full of... well it ain't cornflakes. What I now think you need is a reason...
