Modifying MKII grip to fit MKIII
I found a set of Nill grips for a MKII, but I have a MKIII. These are similar to the VQ Volthane grips, but they are wood. My question is, couldn't I just drill a hole in the grip to make way for the MKIII magazine release button? Then just buy or make an extended magazine release.

I know it's not February but I have been out of the game for a while to get my lead levels down and shot this week and was excited to get back on the forum. SF 93 TF-95-3x RF-96-2x NMC 284-5x I was shocked I shot this well after not touching my gun for so long, felt good to get back and hang out wit...

I was wondering myself how long it will take, I guess there is really no way to know. What I have been wondering also, is just how many AR's flew off the shelf in the week or so after the shooting. Everywhere I have gone, local and on the internet is out. One local shop I went to said they sold 25 A...

I have a few more questions. I want to replace the mainspring housing to get rid of the ILS safety, but am not sure what a good replacement spring weight would be. The trigger on my gun is actually pretty good, so I don't think I am going to mess with the hammer and sear. I am wanting a long trigger...

wad gun build questions
I recently bought a springfield mil-spec that I am going to use as my wad gun for bullseye shooting. I know it is going to need some work to shoot the way it needs to, and I just wanted to get some opinions on what parts to get, and what work to have done. One of the things I often hear people say i...

I am about 10,000 rounds into my replacement gun from the previous problem in this post, and sadly it is happening again with the new pistol. It doesn't yet look as bad as the pictures of my last gun, but it is clearly doing the same thing, and with time will probably look just like the first one. I...

That's pretty much what I was thinking. I am planning to purchase a Springfield Range Officer to use as my wad gun. A couple shooters I know have bought one, and only had to have a new bushing fitted and they were shooting under 3 inches. They come come from the factory with a flat mainspring housin...

Removing factory saftey/Bullseye shooting
The conventional pistol rules state for a gun to be legal it must have the factory safeties. If I get rid of the Springfield mainspring safety, I assume that would make it illegal, right?

Thanks Bullseye, that was pretty much exactly what I wanted to know. The crown itself looks pretty good, it was just the land that showed unusual marks. The gun seemed to shot accurate at 50 feet, and probably would shoot up to there standards at 25 yards, I was more worried would it be effected at ...
