I replaced the factory trigger with the VQ trigger and corrected the pretravel to my liking. Some others have drilled and tapped the factory trigger to accept a set screw to accomplish the same thing. There are other trigger options besides VQ.

I recently tried to mount a Weaver TO-10, 3/8" to Weaver, base on my Remington 572. It does not fit (too wide). I've had the rifle since the late '60's so I thought maybe the groove was off, Not so.
