Ditto blindpig. 1" orange stickies, paper plates, and stapler. Time was when I could keep most all in orange at 30 feet or so. Sadly no more with iron sights but maybe now with my VQ sear, Marvel trigger, and some optics.....

Optics for MKII

It is plain to see that target grade ammo shoots a bit better than most "standard " stuff even with iron sights. Howsomever, I have also concluded that optics of some sort is probably the only way I can consistently realize the potential of the target grade. Otherwise for me it's pretty much of a wa...

Terrific post toy! Read every d___ word. The VQ sear recommendation at the end is a Bullseye special. Did that. Superb improvement. Just completed the Marvel trigger replacement Bullseye recommended. Took a while. Had a problem with the pre and over travel set screws. Aluminum oxide corrosion I thin...

The new VQ target trigger has both of these adjustments pre-installed, no need for drilling and tapping anymore. That is exactly what i was waiting to hear Bullseye. Both adjustments installed on the VQ trigger. I was all set to do the drilling and tapping thing to get pretravel adjustmaent. Thanks...

Adjustable Trigger for MKII

I'm still upset over the poor machining on my stock SEAR. Bullseye was the inspiration for my sear change. ( Bye the bye, MKII dis/re assembly is really not complicated but it sure is not easy for us fat fingered doofusses) The sear change was a huge improvement, javascript:emoticon(':D') Very Happy...

VQ Sear-My MK II is Reborn

The VQ sear is a must do MK II mod. Can't believe I waited so long. I'm a Ruger fan so I was kind of shocked when I removed the stock sear. The machining was atrocious. Half of the sear face has a shallow (maybe a thousandth or so ) oval shaped depression hollowed out. It worked OK but I can't imagi...

Dryfire with .22 Rimfire

Thjis is literally a sore spot with me. My dad gave me a beautiful bolt action .22 in in about 1950. Slim, slick action, pointed like my finger, the only rifle with which I ever made a killing shot on a running rabbit. On squirrels it was deadly. It was a Savage, or Remington, or Winchester I really...
