Just a up date. I had a sear that was to tall to work with the stock trigger. Tried alot of things and could not get it to work. I bought a VQ adjustable trigger and everything works as it should. So in my gun MarkIII 22/45 you need a VQ sear and VQ adjustable trigger for everything to work smoothly.

ruger mark III 22/45 polmer frame grips.

I decided I would modify my own grips that are alot slimer and feel alot better. You don't have to grind down the frame. Thats one thing I did not want to do to make the frame weak. I went to the gun shop found some used Houge grips for a 45. They are nice because they are thick plastic wrapped in r...

I've been trying to conceptualize different scenarios where this type of problem could happen and the likely causes, but I have to say that I'm drawing a blank on this one. Five rounds to an erratic trigger pull is highly unusual if none of the pistol's pivot pins are dislodging. How's the clearanc...

Seems more like an installation problem rather than a part problem. Have you tried shooting with the OEM sear and VQ bushing? No installation problem thats for sure. I Reinstalled the Volquartsen sear many of times. I have the Stock Ruger sear in now and works perfect. Same trigger pull all t...

About 5 rounds. It would vary. I would get a nice pull then I would get off target because of the heavier pull.

I filed down the nub but still sent the sear back for a replacement. It just did not feel right. Maybe Nic can come up with something?. What stinks is that it had such a nice trigger pull then I would get a harder pull every so many rounds?.

Try everything and the trigger pull just is not the same all the time. Light then hard. Called voquartsen said to send it to them. I will give that a try?.

Thanks I though a smaller washer would clean up the little bit of slop in there.

Thanks. It is the stock trigger and spring. It was pretty clean. I cleaned everything when I installed the sear. Took everything apart and cleaned it well.

Ruger Mark III 22/45 volquartsen sear

I have a Ruger Mark II 22/45 with a volquartsen Sear and Mark II hamer bushing to remove the mag disconnect. I also done the sling shot mod. My problem is the trigger is nice when I first start to shoot then sometimes the trigger pull seems alot more heavy. And it seem like the trigger does not want...

I left the springs in there and just took out the metal piece. Should I take out the spring also?. Yes it was pretty gummed up. Every other clip I would get one shell stuck between the LCI metal piece and the guide rod.

Any problems taking out the loaded chamber indicator.

I was having a couple jamming issues. I took out the metal tab in the chamber loaded indicator and left the plastic one in there. Is there any issues doing this. Will the plastic loaded indicator part cause more jams?. Thanks
