I have a Millett SP-1 on my Mark III 22/45 RP and like it very much. I don't know for sure, but I have heard that changing the dot size will require re-zeroing. Maybe someone else can help.

Installed the Clark bushing and VQ sear, trigger and plunger w/factory spring. Installation was straightforward and the pistol now has a noticeably lighter, crisper trigger pull. Forgot to put in the Clark sear pin but will do that next time I detail strip the gun. Looking forward to taking it to t...

Not to butt in, but it looks to me to be a Burris Fastfire. I have one on my RST-6. I removed the rear sight for the red dot sight and don't use a rail.

I'm not going to mess with it. If I have problems later, I'll contact Ruger.

Bullseye, thanks again for your information and help. Like I said, I've had no problems with extraction so I'll leave well enough alone. BTW what would cause the nick?

Do I have a problem with my 22/45?

I was cleaning my Mk III 22/45 and saw something that has me worried. The wedge shaped thing that is just to the right of the chamber (I don't know what it is called) has a nick in it. Is this serious? When I shot it last about a week ago the pistol shot very good. I have never had a malfunction, bu...

I got a VQ sear from Midway about three weeks ago, installed it and my 22/45 functions OK, I believe. The trigger pull weight is not as low as I thought it would be, but I'm not complaining. I don't have a trigger scale, but the hammer falls when I hang the pistol with red dot sight by the trigger. ...

A new VQ trigger is now somewhere between Columbia, MO and Augusta, GA. I will install it next week.

OK, this is what I was thinking about. Leaving the nub on would cause the "50 lb" trigger, right?

Bump on Mk III Magazines

I have read several posts in forums on installing a Clark hammer bushing in a Mk III and removing the mag disconnector. Now I have a, probably silly, question. Should the "bump" on the MK III magazine be removed? I didn't remove it.

Thanks in advance.

Morgan
No need to mess with the sear spring. Use the 22/45 spring that came with the pistol.

You can add a pre-travel to your factory trigger. It's not hard to do, here is a link on one way of doing it. http://www.guntalk-online.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=651 blue, thanks for this info. If I had the equipment to modify the stock trigger I might try it. When I had access to a complete instru...

You know, the trigger pull weight on my pistol is better than I had thought, but I am far from an expert or experienced in triggers. I don't have a scale and have been just "feeling" it and it was probably not to bad originally. Anyway I shot it yesterday comparing it to a Ruger standard auto pistol...

Lots of pretravel with VQ sear

I replaced the stock sear on my Mk III 22/45 with a VQ sear. Previously I had installed a Clark Mk II hammer bushing. I had expected to see an improvement in the trigger. After the sear replacement, I have significantly greater trigger pretravel and very little, if any, reduction in trigger force. T...

Thanks, I was a little concerned about their causing some leading.
