Stuck Mark III magazine
Yep. It happened again. I traded my Mk III Competition to my best friend for a G19 and he immediately shoved a magazine in backwards. At least part of the magazine is visible at the bottom. I have forgotten how to get it out.

Magazine
I could not grab hold of the magazine safety lever to save my life. I finally had to bend the metal of the magazine itself away from the lever and that got it out. I broke the tab off the disconnector but had one of those in my parts bag so all is well. I have been in touch with the lady and she is ...

No good deed goes unpunished
I loaned my Ruger Mk III Competition to a friend so that his wife could take it to a shooting class. He gave her the standard how to load, hold, safe and fire routine. When she inserted her first magazine she put it in backwards and then gave it a good whack with the palm of her hand. Any suggestion...

Titusville steel
Baldy, Some tips for shooting steel. Don't miss; you can't go fast enough to miss. Trigger control is probably the most important aspect of this shooting along with grip and sight picture. Plan your stage strategy so that your gun is mov- ing toward the stop plate on shot four. For example, on "Smok...

Hi Viz
After I purchased my Ruger Hunter I experimented with our range plate machine. I have a spread sheet where I keep my times for a 200 round practice routine. In my case, the plain sights are much faster than the Hi Viz and V rear. I first changed out the V rear and that helped a little. Then I change...

M-41 trigger problem
My M-41 has developed a quirky trigger. Every once in a while the pull will go to something like twenty pounds. It often happens on the first round of a magazine but can happen at any time. The gun is clean. Any ideas?

Price
That price is silly high. I just bought 10 bricks for $200.00 and change. Google will help you find it for about $19.00 a brick. Blazer is my practice ammo and I use Mini Mags for matches.

Ammo
I practice with CCI Blazer and use CCI MIni Mags in matches. Both are excellent. Both my Rugers will eat just about anything but Remington.

Iron vs. Fiber optic sights
Last week I was practicing for the week end US Steel Challenge match we host every month at our local club. I was using my Ruger Hunter with a fiber optic front and square notch rear. I was using the club rack with six plates at ten yards. My average was 3.397 for six shots with an average miss rate...

I won't pretend to have the accumulated wisdom and knowledge of the famous "bullseye" but modifying the Ruger mags does work and in many cases is necessary. The problem is so wide spread that I am considering buying a battery operated dremel tool so that I can do the mods at matches. Why Ruger doesn...

I had the privilege of trying one Sunday at our club "Fun Match". It was a 6" fluted on a Ruger 22/45 and it shot very well. Using Mini Mags it was accurate and ran perfectly. I was using our plate rack this morning and started missing high right on the last plate once in a while. I attributed that ...
