What is this pistol going to be used for? Just plinking, or do you have plans to compete with it?

Thinking about it, it's really not the grips being different, it's our hands. Hands come in a million different combinations of size, texture, and strength. We all have different ways of holding a gun, too. So one guy loves a set of grips that someone else wouldn't keep for free. I think you hit th...

I really like the Hogue grips as well but I've noticed with my MKII Competition Target it feels like it slips in my hand. I've decided to change out the grips but I want to go with either the Ruger White plastic grips or custom white grips. Don't want to highjack this thread but does anyone have pic...

Well got the bushing in and wow...didn't think the trigger could get any better but it sure seems better. It was a little tighter in the frame but once in it was great. I was wondering though, why does the oversized pin stick out so much? Is it to ensure that the pin does not move within the frame? ...

You can also use a small ratcheting wrench socket to help seat the bushing. Just place the socket over the bushing and tap it with the mallet to seat. R, Bullseye This is why I come here and go to RFC. It's the simple answers that make the most amount of sense that us newbies might not think about....

The Clark bushing is over size to fit tightly/snugly into the hammer. Do not remove any material to make a loose fit. You may need to use a soft mallet hammer and small vice to push the bushing into position, I used a drill press on mine to press it in. The design is to eliminate one of the rotatin...

Clark Bushing Question
I've recently installed a VQ Trigger and VQ Sear in my MK Standard. I was surfing the net the other day and noticed that the Clark Bushing was on clearance at Midway and decided to order it. Now I'm wondering if I took on more than my limited talents will allow for. I've read that some users have ha...

Thanks for all of your comments guys. I'm learning but it's a slow process that's why I count on you guys that have been there before. I may just live with it as is since I don't take it down that often and it did seem a little easier the other day. I'm currently working on my MKI and it's coming al...

Stoning or filing that area will work fine for those drag points, You can use a Sharpie permanent marker to help highlight the high spots. It doesn't look like it will take much work to fix that little problem. Having a stainless frame makes it even easier, you won't have to reblue the stoned areas...

Ok, got some pictures of the area where the mainspring has rub marks on them. The one showing the grip with the mainspring sticking out indicates where it sticks. I was able to get it out easier the first couple of times but then the strut didn't fall into place and it was a bear to get out again. h...
