GP-100 Continued
Got to shoot my gp-100 rested the other day after work.....100yds , I shot 2 five shoot groups....1st groups was 3.25 c-t-c and the 2nd was 3.0 c-t-c.. Never in all my days have I seen a revolver shoot this well......then I shot a group as if to mimick my hunting postion sitting arms rested over kne...

I use +p and the .357 mag in my 65-5 smith.....I like the speer short barrel loadings.....the +P is 880 fps /135gr bullet and the .357 mag is 990 with the same bullet.....IMHO this is a very good pair of cartidges ..I dont know what your 60 is rated as ..but if it will handle the .357 mag loading I ...

Well after the disapointment of my gp-100 not being really useable as a bullseye gun...I decided to try .357 loads....and bingo...125gr XTP / 16.5 grs 2400 ..5/8'' at 25yds....iI'm elated at that accuracy...should be a good hundred yard shooter......So now what do I do with this tack driver....well ...

Well got the .357 dailed in.....5/8'' @ 25yds ...125gr XTP's over 16.5 gr 2400.....BOOOOOOOOM ! ..tack driver...hopefully I can tip over a coyote this winter.....and do some groundhog next spring....GP-100 / 2x leuplod M8 Shoot some BE sunday. 263-5x short course with the .45 SA RAnge Officer / Ultr...

Blue, I'm resonablely sure the 125xtp will expand at the velocity I'm useing . I believe I should be in the 1350 muzzle velocity range ...max is 17.5 ..the Lyman manual I have show 17.5 or 7 not sure which at 1409 from a 4'' barrel. I have a 6'' barrel ... Ive thought of tryin some BE in mine ....Have you done any accuracy tests say at 50 and 75yds with that load ? Mine has the 6'' barrel and I plan on reaching out as far as possible ..I'm hopeing for groups of a 1'' @ 25yds and under 4'' @ 100 ....Ive always thought a fuller case lead to better accur...

I wouldnt get rid of anything......Ive had some nice guns in the past Ive let go because ....I had to sell it to get the next one that I wanted.....I wish I had all them back.....as for the LCR...dont think I would mess with it myself.....get the sp101 in a 3'' barrel.....load it with 38+P's ....a ....
