I went to local gun shop this past weekend and fell in love with the Browning 85% 1911-22 compact model. It comes in a 3 3/4' and a 5 1/2' barrel. It's aluminium, with a stainless barrel. Anyone have one or have opinions, I would love to hear them before I plunk down the rather hefty $595 price tag....

I'm in that boat with you two. Too old to fight, too old to run, to old to intimidate. Firearms are my last resort. The .45 went right through the Achilles tendon and exited behind the little toe.
